Fresh, naturally sweet, and incredibly versatile, this strawberry puree recipe is perfect for smoothies, desserts, or even as a sauce for pancakes. Simple to make and packed with flavor!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (washed and hulled)
  • 12 tablespoons sugar or honey (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Strawberries: Wash and hull the strawberries. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • Blend: Place the strawberries in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
  • Sweeten: If desired, add sugar or honey to taste and blend again.
  • Optional Straining: For a smoother texture, pour the puree through a fine mesh strainer to remove seeds.
  • Store or Serve: Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • For a tangier flavor, always add lemon juice.
  • Freeze in ice cube trays for easy portioning.
  • Use ripe, fresh strawberries for the best flavor, or frozen strawberries if fresh are unavailable.
