  • 1 cup sweet corn kernels
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, garlic, and black pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat the Skillet: Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat. Add oil and melt 1 tbsp butter until sizzling.
  3. Assemble the Dish:
    • Place cooked rice in the center of the skillet.
    • Arrange beef slices around the rice.
    • Sprinkle corn kernels over the rice and place the remaining butter on top.
  4. Cook the Beef: Allow the beef to sizzle undisturbed for 2 minutes to develop a crust. Then flip and mix with the rice.
  5. Add the Sauce: Drizzle the pepper sauce evenly over everything. Stir to combine.
  6. Serve Immediately: Garnish with green onions and a final dash of black pepper. Enjoy!
