Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

✔️ 1 lb lump crab meat (fresh or canned, drained)
✔️ 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs (for crispiness)
✔️ 1 egg (for binding)
✔️ ¼ cup mayonnaise (adds moisture)
✔️ 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (adds depth of flavor)
✔️ 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (classic seafood spice)
✔️ 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
✔️ 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
✔️ ½ tsp garlic powder
✔️ ½ tsp onion powder
✔️ 1 tbsp lemon juice (for freshness)
✔️ Salt & pepper to taste

For Frying:

✔️ 1 cup vegetable oil (for deep frying)

For Baking (Healthier Option):

✔️ Cooking spray or olive oil

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crab Mixture

1️⃣ Drain and pick through the crab meat to remove shells.
2️⃣ In a large bowl, whisk together the egg, mayo, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice.
3️⃣ Add the seasonings (Old Bay, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, and pepper).
4️⃣ Gently fold in the crab meat and breadcrumbs—do not overmix.

Step 2: Shape the Crab Balls

5️⃣ Scoop out 1-inch portions of the mixture and roll into balls.
6️⃣ Place on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes (prevents falling apart).

Step 3: Cook the Crab Balls

🔹 Frying Method (Crispy & Golden)
7️⃣ Heat 1 inch of oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).
8️⃣ Fry the crab balls in batches for 3-4 minutes, turning until golden brown.
9️⃣ Remove and drain on paper towels.

🔹 Baking Method (Healthier Option)
7️⃣ Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
8️⃣ Arrange crab balls on a greased baking sheet and spray lightly with oil.
9️⃣ Bake for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
